Great deal. not a scratch on it. I just received my Factory Reconditioned Bostitch finish nailer. I have bought new items that didn't look as new as this one. I used the nailer this morning hanging crown molding and it worked flawlessly.
I have used the gun on several projects and have found it to perform 100% to my liking. It also came with a nice carrying case, a box of nails and an assortment of tips that I had no idea were included in the price. I would buy this again without a question. when i first looked at this tool on line, i was a little bit hesitant about ordering it. I thought it might look and operate like it was old looking and over used, but when I opened the box I was amazed at the perfect and new condition it was in. I might also add that this gun is very light and comfortable to handle.
And the price of the nailer was lower than advertised. A very lightweight and powerful nailer. The final total worked out to be the same either way, so not an issue, I just found this odd. Arrived as advertised, even included a box of nails, which I did not expect. Nailer is in great condition, works perfectly, with a couple of scratches on the head, as expected. although the shipping was more.
Having bought new in the past, I know what they look like & now having bought a reconditioned finish nailer I can tell you that it looks & performs just like a new one. In fact if you were to put them side by side you would be very hard pushed to see any difference between the new & reconditioned nailer.
The unit was in perfect condition out of the box. I build a lot of antique reproduction style furniture, and this tool is a must. I have yet to have a misfire with the Bostitch nails. All in all a great product at a great price.Well under the price you pay for a substandard brand from the local tool store.
Not a problem because I had plenty for just such an occasion. The nailer performed flawlessly with the Bostitch brand 2 1/2 inch nails. The 15 gauge nails are strong enough to hold, but thin enough to not split the wood. I switched to the 1 inch Bostitch nails and didn't have this problem anymore. It had extra foot covers included in the box, which was nice. I did have a minor problem with 1 inch Hitachi brand 1 inch nails. When I held it up to nail into the wall, it misfired about every 5th nail. I suggest using the brand nails for this unit. Only some minute indications that it had ever been used.
It leaves a small hole that is easily covered with putty, barely noticeable when finished. The nailer came in the mail 2 days earlier than I expected. This was remedied when I aimed it downward towards the ground. I did have to use my own compressor adapter, as it did not come with one included.
